When top-tier interior design talent experiments with the finest USA-made furnishings, the results are truly inspiring. This April at High Point Market, we were proud to unveil the first-ever My Rowe Design collaboration with three outstanding design teams. The 2018 My Rowe Designers – Sita Montgomery, Rachel Shingleton (Pencil Shavings Studio), and Lance Jackson & David Ecton (Parker Kennedy Living) – were given free rein to create and explore a theme, each showcasing the true creative potential of Rowe and Robin Bruce pieces in their own distinct style.
Sita Montgomery created a space based on her “New Traditional” style, influenced by formal lines and elegant finishes balanced by organic warmth. Delicate chinoiserie-inspired fabric on the Fuller Swivel Chair harmonizes with traditional elements like the classic button tufting on the Boyd Chair and the turned wooden legs of the Madeline Sofa in Sita’s living room space.
Nearby, Sita’s dining area features four Bailey Chairs in sophisticated stripes of blue and browns, positioned around an inviting round table. The combined result is a relaxing oasis that welcomes guests to a space of grace and luxury, softened by the appearance of plenty of greenery and fresh florals.

The Parker Kennedy design team of Lance Jackson & David Ecton drew inspiration for their space directly from the outdoors. Envisioning a classic English garden, the designers layered a fresh palette of greens, peaches and pinks against a dramatic backdrop of trellised walls to bring their garden-inspired room to life. The clean, classic lines of the Brette Bench Cushion Sofa form the centerpiece of their sitting room, anchored by a strong sense of symmetry that gives guests the feeling of strolling through a formal garden.
In the Parker Kennedy dining area, a slightly more whimsical style takes shape, with delicate pink walls, botanical accents and a grouping of Thatcher Chairs upholstered in a rose chintz that beautifully bridges the gap between antique and modern chic. True to their signature “classic with a contemporary flourish” style, Lance and David embraced the opportunity to highlight the many tiny, elegant details–such as polished nail head trim and crisp piping–that are so often a hallmark of Rowe designs.

Rachel Shingleton of Pencil Shavings Studio created an image of her ideal design client in putting together her Rowe-inspired spaces, dreaming up a color-drenched studio as “a pied-à-terre for a well-heeled woman who doesn’t take herself too seriously.” Inspired by the tailored lines of the Lizzy Sofa and Monroe Chairs, Rachel created a living space that is utterly feminine, yet practical and comfortable. Layered soft textures and a palette of blues and blush pink is boldly accented by pops of tomato red, vibrant orange and royal purple, in a couture-inspired space that invites relaxation while still hinting at drama and intrigue.
In Rachel’s bedroom space, the Fisher Queen Bed provides a luxurious focal point for a room that would surely inspire the most vivid dreams. Piled high with accent pillows and flanked by a pair of Pike Gold Base Ottomans in contrasting red, this space embodies effortless glamour with a contemporary edge.
