Everyone loves a parade–especially a parade of beautiful homes! The Pinnacle Financial Partners Parade of Homes opened its Nashville-based doors once more in October 2017, revealing a brand new lineup of showhouses by top builders and designers in the industry. Attendees were treated to a firsthand peek behind the curtain at the latest in luxury lifestyle finishes, family-friendly design, and cutting-edge technology. Drawing special attention was this stunner, a 8,000 square foot collaboration between boutique custom home builder Austin Pennington (Barlow Builders) and leading designer Lori Paranjape (Mrs Paranjape Design + Interiors). Awarded the coveted “Best Kitchen” and “Best Outdoor Living” spaces by the 2017 Parade of Homes, this house represents the kinds of luxurious little moments and attention to detail that truly make a house a home. Some of the highlights included a few of our Rowe & Robin Bruce Furniture pieces, handcrafted in the USA and reflecting the ultimate in craftsmanship and innovative design. Designer Lori Paranjape wisely chose to break up the enormous family room into two distinct spaces, drawing attention to one of the main sitting areas with a dynamic pair of swivels. “There are very few projects of mine that do not have swivel chairs when we have two points of interest in a room. We used two beautiful swivel chairs (Lindsay Swivel by Robin Bruce) for our living room, and they are one of my favorite pieces in this space.” Upholstered in a rich, creamy white and accented by graphic minimalist black & white pillows, this pair of chairs boldly defines the space.
Game night just leveled up to “legendary” status in this multifunctional, stylish space! “This room is made specifically for adults,” says the designer of the showhouse’s bonus room, which sports multiple televisions, a ping pong table and loungeable furniture. “We have a bar with refrigerator drawers so that you can entertain up here, and the poker table which makes it fun for a game night.” Guests gathered at the poker table will be seated in luxury on a grouping of four of our Vera Slipcover Dining Chairs.
The nursery is always one of the most special rooms in any home. We can’t help but feel drawn to the sweet, serene space Lori created here! A natural highlight of this dreamy children’s room is our Hollins Swivel Chair, an oasis for mama and baby that’s equal parts soft and sophisticated. A classic chair like Hollins will grow and evolve with a family through the baby stage and beyond.

Hundreds of designers, architects, builders, and influencers flocked to the 2017 Parade of Homes, signaling its status as a can’t-miss event within the industry. Beyond Nashville, Lori Paranjape also appeared as a featured guest speaker at the Fall High Point Market, where she spoke on a Traditional Home Magazine showhouse panel alongside other design luminaries.
